The Commonwealth Games 2022 start today in our wonderful city of Birmingham!

When I arrived in the UK, it was clear that things were different here than in Sudan. I quickly realised I didn’t know many things about the UK. I had no idea about Universal Credit. I wanted to find work but had no clue how to search for jobs.

After hearing about ACH’s business support from her friends, we were delighted to welcome Winny on board the support scheme in May 2022. Two months on, and we couldn’t be happier for Winny who has recently opened her very own shop selling African clothing in Bristol.

We’re thrilled to be working with Bristol Old Vic on this exciting new project, centered around giving people in Bristol from a refugee or migrant background valuable experience of the food and drink sector.
